Peer Outreach Workers use their own lived
experience with mental health and addiction to walk alongside people in their journey of recovery and wellness * provide
supportive listening and assist with navigating the mental health,
addiction, and health care systems Support people admitted to hospital for mental health or addiction-related concerns, those attending addiction medicine clinics, as well as meeting with people in the community * support connecting to services including attending appointments, accessing employment and education supports, as well as any number of other tasks that support identified goals as part of the recovery journey |
